Same family. Same corner. Since 1989.
We'll tell you what's wrong, what it costs, and what can honestly wait — and your old parts come back in a box on the passenger seat. That's the whole business model.
What's it doing?
Pick the symptom. You'll get the same straight answer you'd get at the counter — likely cause, honest ballpark, and whether it can wait.
Pick what the car's doing and we'll tell you what it probably is — the same thing you'd get told over the counter.
No email gate, no "schedule a consultation." Just the answer.
Ballparks are for common cases on common cars. Your written estimate comes before any work — always.
The work
Brakes
Pads, rotors, calipers, lines. And the honest version: if your pads have 40% left, we'll tell you to come back in 10,000 miles.
Oil & fluids
Full-synthetic changes with a real look underneath — the stuff a quick-lube skips. We torque the drain plug and note what's coming due.
Diagnostics & check-engine
A code tells you the neighborhood, not the address. We test before we replace anything — that's the difference between a diagnosis and a guess.
Tires & alignment
Mount, balance, rotate, patch. Four-wheel alignments on the rack. We patch from the inside or we don't patch at all.
A/C & heat
Evac, recharge, UV dye test. If it's a leak, you get the estimate before we open the system — not after.
Batteries & electrical
Free battery and charging-system test. Starters, alternators, parasitic drains, and that one fuse that keeps blowing.
Scheduled maintenance
Everything in your factory book at 30/60/90k. Keeps your warranty valid — no dealership required, and no dealership prices.
Pre-purchase & smog
Certified smog station. Buying used? A pre-purchase inspection is the cheapest insurance there is — we've talked people out of plenty of cars.
How we keep it honest
Every mechanic says "trust us." Fine. Here's the specific, written-down version — the stuff you can hold us to.
If we ever get one of these wrong, tell the owner. He's here six days a week and it will ruin his morning, which is exactly the point.
Come see where your car goes
Opened the shop with two bays and his brother's toolbox. Still answers the phone himself most mornings.
The voice on the phone. Translates tech-speak into English and makes the call before any number changes.
Diagnostics and drivability. The one other shops call when they're stuck on an electrical gremlin.
If it stops, steers, or rides wrong, it's his bay. Torque-wrench-and-checklist type. We like that type.
Runs the smog lane and the espresso machine in the waiting room. Both are calibrated.
From the counter
“The dealer quoted me $900 for rear brakes. They put it on the lift, showed me the pads, and told me I had another year on them. Charged me nothing.”
“Water pump went on my F-150. They called with the exact number before touching anything, and the old pump was in a box on my seat when I picked it up.”
“Check-engine light, and I braced for the worst. It was a cracked gas-cap seal. Fourteen dollars. They could have told me anything.”
Come by, or we'll call you

Look for the amber sign and the roll-up doors. Street parking; drop the key in the slot if we're closed. Serving San Pedro, CA.
