“Googie” is the kind of name that stops you in your tracks — fresh, fun, and impossible to forget. It's borrowed from the Space-Age architecture of 1950s diners, drive-ins, and Disney's Tomorrowland: all geometric shapes, dramatic angles, and atomic-era optimism. It's also exactly the feeling we set out to serve.

In the summer of 2014, longtime Seaside restaurateur Jack Hakim opened Googie Grill's doors alongside his two daughters — a family-run neighborhood eatery built on fresh, delicious comfort food. It quickly became a Seaside favorite for locals and tourists alike, the kind of place you come to once to try and come back to nine more times.

Working side by side, the Hakims built menus that blend old family recipes with classic plates given a modern twist — breakfast specialties and New Orleans-style beignets in the morning, generous burgers and sandwiches midday, steak and fish cooked to perfection at night, and homemade desserts any time of day. Whether it's a quick business lunch, a birthday, or a family dinner, our first priority is always the same: that you leave with a fresh, fun, and memorable experience.
